Footrot Flats - Wal and Dog

Weta Workshop was contracted to make Footrot Flats Iconic characters Wal and Dog life-size bronze statues. I made the digital sculpt, interpreting the 2D drawings of Murray Ball into 3 dimensions, a lot harder than you might think. We printed a 6th scale maquette for approval before milling out the life sized versions with an offset for clay which was sculpted and detailed for the final casting.
